More on the personal consulting…
April 27th, 2007
Well, it seems like I struck a chord when I mentioned personal consulting.
Here is what I have gathered from the many comments left:
1. You don’t want another program that just costs you money.
2. You want it to work for absolute beginners.
3. You don’t want it to cost too much.
4. You don’t want there to be a lot of costs to go through the program.
5. You love the idea of paying me from your profits instead of paying 100% up front (like most programs).
6. You want the consultation calls to be structured, possibly with another program working along with them.
Are all of those conclusions correct?
Allow me to give you a few more details, although I can’t fully reveal everything that is going on with this program as it is still in development.
First off, a couple of months ago I opened my BBO Traffic Formula program to a select few “apprentices.”
This wasn’t personal consultation, but it did have live teleseminars and live Q&A calls, and a support team that have gone far and beyond even what I expected (how often do you get a phone call out of the blue from a support team member saying “Hey, I noticed that you are stuck at this point, how can I help you?”).
The members loved it. Within 3 weeks we already had success stories.
Several of the apprentices have made far more than the initial cost of the course, and this is all through affiliate marketing, which means they aren’t even selling their own products!
Take Staffan for example.
He had never made a single penny online, and he was the first person to make his first sale and build his list quickly!
Within 24 hours of starting to get traffic he had a list of over 100 verified subscribers and had already made his first affiliate commission.
He has now made over $750 in affiliate commission (in less than 2 months) and is building his list every single day.
There are several other examples as well (to see some case study videos you can go and subscribe here).
However, this is just the beginning. I have created an entire 12-month plan that is almost guaranteed (if you put in the work) to make you $100,000 within the first year.
How can I make such a bold claim?
Well, first off, because I have done it multiple times (from scratch).
Second, I am teaching a proven, tested, repeatable system that has worked for thousands of other people.
These aren’t some strange new ideas, these are tried and tested principles that have worked for years and will continue to work for a very long time.
So what does this all mean for you?
Quite frankly, it means that I am putting together a coaching program designed specifically for YOU - the beginner marketer.
It also means that I have had to struggle with several factors, including what to include, what to charge, and how to work out payments.
This isn’t going to be some $97 product. You will be getting the highest level beginner training, including personal phone time with me (and a lot of it).
How does a package like this sound? (remember, it’s still in development, so not everything is included here):
1. Personal phone time with me on a regular basis for at least 6 months.
2. A proven, step-by-step system that you can follow for the next 12 months to build a 6-figure business in one year (literally worth a minimum of $3000, because that’s how much others are paying for it).
3. Regular access to our support team via email AND phone support (how many companies give you the ability to pick up the phone and get marketing advice?).
4. A guarantee to make $30,000 within your first 6 months (or we’ll keep helping you until you do)
5. And one more surprise bonus that I’m not going to tell you about right now, but that will completely knock your socks off (and will save you a TON of money and time).
Does that sound like something that would interest you?
Well, I want to hear from you right now.
Here is a question I would like you to answer: What should I include in this program to make it a complete no-brainer for you to purchase, regardless of cost?
Let me know by posting a comment below…
Matthew Glanfield
P.S. Also, this program will be launched shortly after I release the BBO Traffic Formula system on May 7, 2007. If you are interested in the coaching program, you should purchase the BBO Traffic Formula first. If you decide to buy the coaching you can use the cost of the program as a rebate towards the new program.

Matthew,
I would love to be able to access your proposed course from the UK. We have had similar programs sold by so called UK based gurus but the personal mentoring was simply non-existent and the information was extremely poor. I will gladly provide you with names.
I have been greatly impressed by everything you have published thus far and have no doubts about the value of anything you put together.
The suggestion of payment from profits seems to have two advantages. Firstly, it would make a true mentoring course affordable, and secondly, it would incentivise you to ensure your students succeed. The right student, coupled with the right mentor is just a win, win scenario.
I look forward to receiving the progress updates.
Kind regards,
Steve Soteriou (London)
Sherwood Tucker Says:
I would like a program which was:
1) step by step (details - how to’s)
then these were checked as completed
2) Paced as th student’s rate -some of us are OOT
a lot and miss calls (OOT = out of town)
3) The finished product would be a student who would be able to duplicate this at will.

birte Says:
My answer is as a question and suggestion as well. I have seen from some of the answers that not all interested are in USA or Canada, and therefore on different timezones.
Will you do personal calls across the Atlantic? or maybe a more or additional way is to do coaching via video conferences? record them and post on website? (this could eliminate the problems of time zones)
Bill Says:
Step-by-step help (I believe) is what people desire to start, and then go forward with building their online business.
Steve Sadler Says:
Matthew,
I think your conclusions are spot-on. I would agree whole heartedly that begginers are fed up with all the BS behind every so called product and service that will provide a fulltime income (or better). If you can deliver what you intend, you can count me in!!
Dian Lewis Says:
I found your blog as usual Very informative.
#5 is my favorite statement because like many others I have been unable to make even one sale for any of the affiliate programs I have tried or am involved with at the moment. How do you find the right place where people are going to really look at your ad and start to see the benefites of joining with you? That is a big problem atleast for me.
Keep up the good work Matthew as it is always a joy to read your down to earth emails.
P.S. Running on empty purse now
Gene Lewis Says:
Matthew,
#4. has sold me depending the price.I would like a program with step by step procedures.ie…”Do this process but if this isn’t sucessful then do this”…..until I am sucessful.I hope that makes sense
six month into the course after we are earning some money I would like to JV a product with you!! Step by step procedure for a sucessful venture.(Maybe determined by the top five earners after six months) Never the less………Hurry up May 7
Gene
Omar Says:
When someone is willing to put off their earnings to make sure that the student earns first; well that speaks volumes of your integrity and credibility that you are capable and confident to deliver on your claim (IF the student does what is expected..)
So, yes, this is fantastic and I will come up with my portion in order to participate in this!
Clifton Gooding Says:
Matthew, how are you? I greatly appreciate your proposed coaching program and the BBO. I know they would both be beneficial to me.
I have followed you for quite sometime now, starting when you were active with what is now called DXSynergy. You seem to more honest and forthright than some of the others that I am currently involved with.
If participation could possibly be structured around payment from profits, or a small amount to start, that would be very helpful for me. Because, I have lost a lot of money over the years trying to establish myself on the internet.
Omar Says:
Sorry I forgot to answer your question about what would make this a no-brainer….
Access to you or a staff member to you is important. We have to be reasonable about that and not abuse the privilege so-to-say.
But if anyone is like me, I start to implement something, like signing up for a service or setting up a supposed super-easy system and I am asked a question that stumps me and causes me to stop right there. When I can’t move forward until I figure out that particular issue without getting it clarified or whatever, then I am truly sunk.
This has been my biggest stumbling block…getting just so far and then not being able to figure out how to get past the obstacle. I know we can’t expect to get 2-second response time, but something reasonable?
Hope I explained what I meant to communicate.

The biggest asset would be to have you as a mentor that can be reached for personal one on one for questions. We as newbies can read and write fairly well, but sometimes we need a human to guide us,(I may be speaking for myself).
Thanks again and looking forward to seeing your program.

As a fellow Canadian, as well as an Ontarion, I would like to see info on the business set up and tax implications, not only collecting taxes but doing income taxes related to a homebased business. The products I have bought from you have included canadian taxes, so you must know about such things.
Dennis Says:
Matt,
You are one of the most honest and helpful Internet Marketers online. What you’ve layed out is more than enough to make me want to be a part of it.
I’m certain, knowing you, if there’s anything needed to make this better, that you will add it as the program progresses. You’ve always delievered more than you promised.
No other Marketer that I know of has offered a training program like this, and if someone did, I’m certain they’d price it 2 to 3 times higher than you would. You’ve got a great heart to go along with your great mind, something that’s lacking in most other Internet Marketers.
Sign me up….

i agree that the cost have to be at least a mix up front and after profit.
In that case i will be in only if you show me that can be successfull also for an italian customer like me but i am ready also to pay a good price!!i said that because i know otalian online market is a lot more difficult for the little habit of people to buy online in the other side there is quite no competition!!But i want something that works in Europe ar least!!
John Says:
Matthew,
The one thing that I see is missing in the world of affiliate marketing training is the follow up. Will your course include pre-written follow up auto-responder messages that grab peoples attention and take them through the buying process? I have bought into many of these affiliate programs and have yet made any serious money. I thank you for all you have done, and continue to do.
Still broke

Kat Says:
Dear Matthew,
Cost issues aside, I’m impressed with the package you’re putting together — your guarantee itself almost clinches it for me.
The one other feature I’d love to see is the establishment of a community for those of us who hope to purchase your package. Having phone time with you and phone/email access to your support team is indispensible, but we can also help and learn a lot from each other by way of a private forum. It’s not a substitute for quality tech support, when needed, but to be able to share our ideas and experiences with each other, to help each other, to be able to give back — building a helpful, spirited, engaged community would be a deal-maker for me.
One of the challenges that we beginners face is feeling like we’re in it all alone, figuring it all out by ourselves. Let’s use our combined energy to motivate and inspire each other!
Keep bringing it on, Matt. It’s looking great.

Bruce Innes Says:
Hello Matthew,
Thank you for the opportunity to express a few of my thoughts. I am a “newbie” withoiut a website. Although, I have read as much as I can to the point of “analysis paralyses”. I am a stay at home dad with one child, very little income, and my wife works. I believe I am smart enough to learn whatever you teach me. Your offer that meant the MOST is allowing me to PAY you out of my Earnings… I was genually stunned when I read the line! Believe me when I say… I would be happy to pay you “three-times” your fee to get me trained and, into profit. We have very little money to spend, it is the Guidance, Learning, and Knowledge that is of utmost importance to us. I would be happy to find room on our almost maxed-card for your “BBO Traffic Formula”. Please send me an email to let me know where/when, and so on.
Some weeks ago I purchased a few programs. Now that I have them, I have no idea “how to” market them. The advertising and marketing appears to be very complicated, and expensive. How to build a “list”, “autoresponders”, and so on.
Bruce Innes
Vicky Says:
A trust-worthy mentor isn’t afraid to invest in his students — I admire your willingness to put others first. I also like the idea (#3 above) of recorded video conferences!
As for the no-brainer add-ons …
)
John Reese’s TRAFFIC SECRETS 2.0 (esp for those who don’t have v.1), or free admission to a sold-out workshop that you will be putting on some time down the road.

Fred Says:
The proposed package sounds great for “rookies” that have little internet marketing knowledge. Especially the guarantee to keep helping until one succeeds!
To answer your question of “What should I include in this program to make it a complete no-brainer for you to purchase, regardless of cost?” would be the guarantee coupled with progressive fees to you as we succeed. If I succeed in making 100K in a year with your help what’s a $3000 or $5000 fee due you folks for helping me get there? Nothing compared to $200 to start and endless cash drains to nowhere!
Fred
Vikki Says:
Very Interesting proposition.
It is funny because, I actually offered a % of profits to a GURU for his COACHING and he refused saying that there is no guarantee of earnings.
I would certainly be interested in paying you a substantial % of monies I make because of your coaching.
Brian Says:
Hi Matthew,
If you include everything you mentioned above it’s ALREADY a no-brainer. I mean, a guarantee to make $30,000? C’mon, that’s unheard of anywhere else. And I have no doubt you will be able to deliver on that promise.
I’m amazed at how much you are already overdelivering on the Traffic Formula/BBO/AMIC programs (of which I’m a member). I’ve never seen anything like this as far as a comprehensive step-by-step formula to build a business from scratch.
You’ve already sold me on your integrity, knowledge, and willingness to teach. I don’t know how you got so much knowledge in such a short period of time, but you must be doing everything (well, OK, virtually everyting) right.
Your ideas and teaching programs make more sense than 99% of the so-called Make Money programs out there, and that includes some very experienced “gurus”. The gurus will give you some good information, but it will be incomplete or they won’t explain how to implement it.
The only thing I can think of that you could add to your above coaching program is a dotted line where I can sign up
Pauline Murphy Says:
Bruce Innis said it all..I even need a new computer and can’t spring for it..so your concept of “pay me back with your success ” would in itself create a landslide of beginners who are retired and have the time to build a second income. Not to mention our success would influence friends and family. I too have followed you as a fellow Canadian..you speak with the intelligence of sharing not greed. Don’t change you have the gift of giving.
Question ..Why is it some say no fees then charge astronomical for their Hosting of the program? Youve spent the money or ?free but are now stuck?
Byron welch Says:
Nicely refreshing:
Looks like another idea that you’ve struck the
right cord with Matthew, by asking what you
clients want and providing it.
Wouldn’t it be great if other so called marketers
were to do the same and provide whats needed,
rather than what they think you want.
Most of what I thought I wanted I didn’t, and still don’t, most I’ve read but very few ever inpassioned me to take action, mainly because I had little idea what the hell they were talking about.
Chuck Says:
Looking forward to hearing more about your program. I am using your traffic videos and signing up new reps almost daily and teaching my new people how to work my business systems quicker. Making 6 figures in a couple of areas, but looking for help with affiliate marketing which is fairly new to me. Have worked with coaches before, but none that asked me to pay AFTER I made money. A very unique (and refreshing) concept.

Nicky Says:
i would join the program if
1. You include lots of videos where you show live the steps “click by click”
of what and how something is done. That is the only way I REALLY learn anything even remotely techie.
2. If payment was a mix-up of up-front and after profit as well. I think you will have to include an up-front fee to weed out people who are’t serious about doing all the work involved.
3. Follow-up that pointers on how to improve what i’ve done.
Thank you for your time and I am sure you must be super–happy– about finishing Uni!!!
Cheers Nicky

This sounds very much like the 8000 dollar course that has me paying 19.9% interest for stuff that has not worked and is very slow to produce from another so called Guru making Millions online.
It is also getting me closer to bankrupcy every single day!
It’s high time These Internet guru’s supply a return on investment or do not pay guarrantee.

Hi Matt
I have been working online for some time now with mixed success…at this point I am finally seeing a small profit most days. I have been following your e-mails for awhile now and have found them quite informative.
I found todays post quite ironic as I had just received a call from Chris McNeeney’s Team about a coaching program. As I am very serious about making an immediate income before I am forced to find a job I said ‘yes’ to their coaching package which is going to cost me HUGE$$$$$$$ but sounds worth it; although they did not guarantee $30 000 and like I said I had to pay HUGE$$$$$ upfront…now I’m confused what to do (I have 3 days to request a refund!) HELP!!
I would think that you are quite familiar with Chris’ Team so it would be great if you could drop me some honest advice or recommendations. I too am a fellow Ontarian from Orangeville Ontario.
Just a quick e-mail or call from your staff or yourself would be greatly appreciated (I realize how busy you are…but I am EXTREMELY motivated to suceed & I value your opinion
Thx Tammy

Hi Mathew,
I am very impressed with you and the integrity and morality that you possess. What a great human being you must be.
For a person from down under a major problem with any live online program is the timing of it so that we can listen in. I would suggest that any training is taped and available through a special link so it can be listened to or re-visited at any time.
The methodology of step by step training is an excellent one. Together with listening I find it helpful to have a Powerpoint type presentation of points and a manual (online) for follow up. One aspect that does come to mind is that is the speed of learning of different people.
The a guarantee like you are making it is a remarkable opportunity and I would love to be part of that.
I would also like the opportunity to work with you further in order to accelerates my learning.
Thank you for who you are and the opportunity you are offering - count me in.
Kindest regards - Graham
Thia Says:
I have been wanting a great coaching program, but the cost has always been prohibitive. I love the concept of paying out of the profits! This is why I love affiliate links - its a win/win situation!
What bothers me about most coaching programs, is they are more about me paying them - when I read reviews from people who have worked with them, it turns out its just conversations about buying more of their product.
I hope one day to be able to coach others into successful entrepenuerships. This sounds like a good way to get started.
ROBERT FROMM Says:
The program should not move too quickly becauswe I as well as everyone else has too much email to read.
Use a web page format as you do for the AMIC-hence fewer emails.
When giving steps, give names of resources we can use, ie autoresponders, web page builders etc.
Always keep a FAQ listing updated from forum questions. I would rather see you answer the questions so we have th3e correct answers.
Have the cost begin low and increase as the lessons progress and we are earning enough to pay you (have a front end payment option for those who want it.
Never assume we know any thing.
That’s it for now.

Matthew, this is the best news in a long time. What would really make this irresistible for me is to allow payment from our profits as we make them and to stick with us until we reach a pre-set level of success. As I’ve mentioned before, lots of research shows that it is this kind of follow-through support that enables success in many fields. Thank you for taking our suggestions seriously.
Micheal Savoie Says:
Matthew,
The one thing that would make it a no-brainer is a JV with you at the end of the training. You teach us how to develop a product that we can sell and then JV with us (or help us find JV partners) to help launch our new found business.
By the way, if I am one of the lucky few who get into the coaching program, I am willing to donate hosting to any of the people who do not have their own hosting or can’t afford it right now. The people would have to register their own domains, but the rest will be taken care of until the coaching is over.
I remember back when you launched Your Squeeze Page, and I was fortunate to be involved in that launch! It is cool to have seen the growth and the vision that has gone into your products.
Keep up the great work!

Your offer gets better with every posting, no doubt about it! I don’t think there is one single part that would virtually seal the deal. I think my opinion will be based on the final draft of the curriculum.
This overall “disclosure theory” while perhaps counter-productive is the way I have come to follow before committing to anything. For, although all I know, would fit on the back of a postage stamp, my sense of caution sometimes overwhelms me.
I look forward to hearing the rest of this situation and truly thank you for coming up with an idea that actually fits any and all newbies.

Matthew:
Just got back from North Carolina Friday evening late and opened my email on Saturday.
I am very happy that you are willing to share your talent and expertise.
I, like so many others, have had difficulties in learning all of the things necessary to have a successful online business.
Late last night I had the privilege of talking to Bill about you and everything you have helped him thru in terms of building his business. To say the least Bill has the highest regards for you and your ability. By the way, Bill and I have a lot in common…one of which is age (ha!).
I know I can be successful and can provide my own products that will be accepted by the internet audience. But without help, I am going to find it extremely difficult to know how to present my product and sell it…to get the traffic…and once I have the traffic to be able to sell my clientele…and to be able to provide them with new products that they will feel is extremely beneficial to their personal goals. And finally, to be able to continue to repeat the process, develop new programs, experience the rewards and provide an excellent product for my clientele.
Your offer of allowing payment as we progress and to help us achieve a certain level of financial awards is unbelievable. I for one like many others have limited resources, but this method will allow me to participate if you select me as one of those who you will train thru your proven method of consultation.
Again, thanks for being the type of person who really wants to help others.

Wow! No brainer. If I can pay you out of money I make with your program, I am on board. I hate to say it but after 18 months of reading, wondering, trying without success my way of life, where I live and just about everything is in jepordy. Can you REALLY mean this? If so, I am in and will tell my partners too.
Nino Says:
Hi Matt,
I have been following you (and others)for some time now, but believe you are the man, I have subscribed to many programmes, only to come to a grinding holt, for one reason or another and there it stops, you cant email or contact anyone for support, since there is none. So you give it up as another failed experience.
After reading your blog here, and the comments people are making, all sounds familiar, I am in the U.K. and sometimes am unable to attend teleconferences at 1am in the morning like a few people hear have already mentioned. So it is refreshingly good news that you hope to help many of us in the formative steps in getting online and achieving some success.
Hope to hear from you soon

Hi Matthew:
I just want to say that I have a total of 5 websites, 4 of which i bought and the 5th given because i had purchased the “platinum” program. My buisnesses sit idle on the internet earning me absolutely nothing!!!. I don’t know the first darn thing about running an internet based buisness!!!. The company was suppose to provide me with the proper training and advertising which i found out not to be true, because it appears to me that the paid advertising according to them is where the money is to be made if i sink loads of it with there company or the one they are currently promoting, verses the free classified ads which they frowned heavily on… Oh lol, I can’t afford anything at this point cause i don’t have it and my credit cards are maxed to their limits!!!. I don’t know the first thing about having to self promote my websites each month with 100 to 300 postings of ads to get someone to shop and buy at my sites as, well as to just visit them…. I am a complete newbie and as green as they come, thats why you have’nt seen or heard to much from me at your sites???. I will venture to read my emails, but when money is mentioned to buy this or buy that I’m outta here pronto amigo!!!. I just have anything to invest but some time to learn a proven system that will help me generate and get back more than i even bargained for…. I also had booked appointments with reps with the company several times which “they” failed to keep and this just discouraged me even more that i think this whole internet buisness thing is just a way to make the wealthy more rich and the poor very unlucky… thats what i think! until i get something better……Stella
Harry Deitch Says:
Mathew, as most beginners are like myself, (we have lost a lot of money on other “Gurus”, and have nothing left), but we need to get started in some way. I applaud the idea of no money up front, but would like to make some constuctive suggestions. After the beginner on your special softwares start to make about $4000.00 per month, you could charge 1%. this would mean at the beginning $40.00 to you. If you had about 1000 beginners, this would equate to $40,000.00 per month. As we increase our mothly profits, you should have a scale up to a certain level, say 3%, then you would be compensated for the hard time at the bginning and reap the rewards at the back end. I would like to see you send teaching videos, plus manuals (pdf) plus your helpers, that we would be able to contact via email. In my case (being in Australia) it would be very difficult for you to give 1 to 1 tuition. Better to have your excelent emails which would discuss with us the various topics etc. Regards Harry Deitch (info@stuffgalore.com.au. We have a time difference of about 14 hours between our two countries.

Mathew, this is a second submission. As you can see I am a slow thinker. I need to get something now. If you have the above setup ready, please reply to me asap. I am in the throes of looking to purchase a software Squueze page, and a standard Autoresponder. I need to get going fast as I am needing to make some money very quickly. Time is the essence in my case. Regards Harry Deitch ( info@stuffgalore.com.au).

Matthew,
I get the usual tons of solicitations in my e-mail, most of which I ignore. I did happen across your video series for beginners and thought, “Wow! Useful information . . . how rare!”
There are so many “get rich on the ‘Net” schemes that it it really confusing for someone new in internet marketing. A course that is low cost (if I had a bunch of money, I wouldn’t need the course) and thourough would be welcome. The percentage of profits thing sounds great.
Barry Says:
Maybe some day i will get that one on one. I just am not as smart as i was before my accident.I use to be the computer geek, wiz whatever, where I worked. Its hard to say i cant remember what i use to.I learned cad/cam on my own. I could program every machine in the shop. I was in a wreck and broke my neck now i thought i just needed a product. I have plenty. I just can’t remember how to put it one a website. I will get that one on one with you I just cant get what i have, on the site. Money is my problem, i have gatherd a lot free. Some you may not have, but i have to learn html again and maybe java, but i will be there soon.

Thanks for what sounds like a great opportunity for old welders like me to get into a better way of making a living. Time is also a problem for me, as well as available cash. I spend so much time trying to make a living, I don’t have a lot of time to make a lot of money. Still, I am trying to squeeze in time to do this. I know you have an exceptional support team, having had some dealings with Tim Junck, and I believe you will probably provide what you are promising, so, if I can figure out how, I’ll be in. I need more specific step by step info than most are willing to provide. I can do anything, if I can understand it well enough to get through it, or have detailed instructions. (May sound strange coming from a man) I have spent a small fortune on many programs and still haven’t got a dime of return. All they want to tell me is “you need to buy this other product” and get more and more money for no real help. I’ll take your offer and gladly pay as I start to make some real money. Thanks for understanding a newbie’s problem.
Kelly
